Hello Blog!

Oh, hello blog! It’s been a while! Since I typed in your spacious box, with metaphoric double entendre. Or something. So, what have I been up to, you (both) might ask?

I’ve been bored. Bored shitless at times. I was bored at work today, for example, and vandalised my iPod sock. It passed 5 minutes, I suppose.

I’ve been to the match. I hate going to the match. The seat which I have (free) access to is behind a bloke who shouts at Brad Jones for the full duration of the match, and in front of a group of lads who ramble on through the game about their FIFA teams being ‘better than this lot’, as if that allows them to have a pop at managing a professional football club. On Tuesday, against Preston, I sat elsewhere. KG took the bold move of sitting in one of the many sparsely populated areas. It was great, no idiots within hearing distance, a better view of the pitch and a bit of room to stretch out during the dull bits. My faith in ‘the match’ has been partially restored.

I’ve played some games. The stunning Chime, the much better than it’s £1.99 price tag suggested World Snooker Championship and the simply criminal Resident Evil 5. I’ve never got on with Resident Evil games, but had heard nice things about this one. It just commits all of the cardinal sins, no shoot and move, partner constantly in your way, horrible resource management and some crappy voice acting. It’s going for trade in, after two chapters.

And I’ve started training for the race for life, despite the fact that I’m neither entered for it or female. I’m the wife’s ‘running buddy’, so if you so choose you can see me sweating three times a week in and around the mean streets of Eston. And Christ, do I sweat.
