Monday 11th January
Back to fucking work again. In the snow, again. In the cold, again. Again. I’m fucking sick of the shit weather, you know? What could I do about that?
In the evening, though, things took a turn for the better.
We booked a holiday! This is the best thing that’s happened all year. We’re going to Egypt in May for 7 nights ‘Ultra-Inclusive’, whatever the fuck that means. I presume they actually pour the drink down your neck for you, and give you stomach expansion surgery the moment you arrive. That would be awesome.
We booked to go and see Richard Herring! Having seen Stewart Lee late last year, I am looking forward to this more than anything else in the world, despite it’s contradiction of the previous paragraph. I was going to do the arse-licky Twitter thing of ‘booked tickets for @(celebrity person here)’ but decided against it, as it’s a bit cringeworthy and cunty.
We also decided to go and see Nowhere Boy, as we’ve got a pair of free tickets. I am less excited about this, as I think anything with a scouse accent will leave me cold. It was Nowhere Boy or a film about Polish pig farmers, or something, so sadly the scouse will have to do.
